Step 2: Open the "Connect WhatsApp Business" dialog

From the WBotz workspace Home screen, under “Workspace Setup,” click Connect WhatsApp (this is the second task in the setup checklist, after “Add Account Details”). This opens the “Connect WhatsApp Business” modal.

The modal explains the process visually with a Facebook → WhatsApp → Wbotz flow diagram, and shows two important notices:

⦁ Already using the WhatsApp Business App? If your number is already active on the WhatsApp Business App, Co-existence mode is enabled automatically, so you can keep using both the app and WBotz at the same time without disruption.

⦁ What happens next: You will be redirected to Facebook to connect your WhatsApp Business Account. This is a secure, one-time setup that takes less than two minutes.

Click Continue with Meta to begin. (Alternative options on this screen: Migrate existing number — for moving a number already registered elsewhere — or Logout.)

Step 3: Meta login popup opens

Clicking Continue with Meta opens a new popup window titled “Facebook Login for Business.” It briefly loads a blank page (about:blank) and then navigates to Facebook’s OAuth dialog (facebook.com/v24.0/dialog/oauth...). If you are not already logged into Facebook, you will be prompted to log in at this point.

Step 4: Review the Meta “Connect your account to Wbotz” screen

Once loaded, Meta shows an introductory consent screen: “Seamlessly connect your account to Wbotz.” It explains that this onboarding process will walk you through registering and connecting your business account to the WBotz partner integration, and lists what you'll be able to do:

⦁ Communicate with customers at scale

⦁ Send messages with optimisations

This screen also links to the Marketing Messages API for WhatsApp Terms, Meta Business Tools Terms, Meta Hosting Terms for Cloud API, Meta Terms for WhatsApp Business, and WBotz's own Privacy Policy and Terms. Click Continue to proceed.

Step 5: Select the business assets to share

The next screen, “Select the business assets to share with Wbotz App,” asks you to choose:

⦁ Business portfolio — the Meta Business Portfolio (e.g., “Smart vCard”) that owns the WhatsApp Business Account

⦁ WhatsApp Business account — which WABA under that portfolio to connect

Click the WhatsApp Business account dropdown to see the available choices. The dropdown lists:

⦁ Create a WhatsApp Business Account (to start fresh)

⦁ Connect a WhatsApp Business App (if you already use the WhatsApp Business mobile app)

⦁ Any existing WhatsApp Business accounts already under the selected portfolio, each shown with its linked phone number

Select the desired account from the list (in this example, “Smart vCard”). Once selected, it populates the “WhatsApp Business account” field. Click Next to continue.

Step 6: Add your WhatsApp phone number

On the “Add your WhatsApp phone number” screen, choose how you want to be identified when sending messages. Two options are offered:

⦁ Use a display name only — messages appear on WhatsApp with only a display name (no phone number) visible to recipients

⦁ Use a new or existing WhatsApp number — verification may be required for this option.

Selecting “Use a new or existing WhatsApp number” reveals a Phone number dropdown. Choose the number/account to register (in this example, “Smart vCard”), then click Next.

Step 7: Review and confirm what WBotz will access

The “Review what you'll share with Wbotz App” screen summarizes exactly what permissions are being granted. It lists:

⦁ Wbotz App is requesting access to: your Business (e.g., “Smart vCard”) and your WhatsApp Business account (e.g., “Smart vCard”)

⦁ Wbotz App will be able to: Manage your business; Manage your WhatsApp App accounts; Manage and access conversations in WhatsApp; Log events on your WhatsApp business account's behalf and send those events to Meta

A note confirms that by continuing, WBotz will receive ongoing access to the information you share, and Meta will record when WBotz accesses it — with a link to learn more about the sharing and settings. Review the details, then click Confirm.

Step 8: Wait while the account connects

A “Connecting your account” screen appears with a loading spinner and the message “This may take a few moments...” This is Meta provisioning the connection between your WhatsApp Business Account and the WBotz app. If it stalls, a Retry button is available.

Image

Step 9: Confirmation: account connected to Wbotz

Once the process finishes, Meta displays: “Your account is connected to Wbotz.” It notes that Meta will review your business to ensure it complies with WhatsApp's Commerce Policy and will follow up within 24 hours if there is an issue, and that you can opt out of sharing event activity data at any time in Business settings.

Two options appear at this stage:

⦁ Add payment method — optional, to set up billing for WhatsApp messaging costs

⦁ Finish — to close the popup and complete setup

Click Finish (or add a payment method first, if desired) to close the Meta popup.

Step 10: WBotz finalizes the connection

After the popup closes, you're returned to the WBotz “Connect WhatsApp Business” modal, which now shows a progress bar labeled “Connecting to your WhatsApp account...” with the message “Please wait, this may take a few moments...” WBotz is syncing the newly connected WhatsApp Business Account into your workspace.

Image

Step 11: Setup complete

Once syncing finishes, the modal closes and you land back on the WBotz Home dashboard, which now reflects the completed connection:

⦁ Workspace Setup progress increases from 33% to 50% complete (3 of 6 tasks completed)

⦁ The “Connect WhatsApp” task is marked COMPLETED, and “Create First Template” becomes the next task

⦁ Under Quick Check, WhatsApp Connection shows CONNECTED (“1 number connected and receiving”)

⦁ Meta Business Account shows VERIFIED (“Linked to your Meta Business portfolio”)

⦁ Under Workspace Integrations, WhatsApp now shows as 1 Connected
